Motor is running but not turning drum to dry the clothes. We removed the back of dryer to see if maybe belt slipped or broke but can not see any belts and do not want to start removing a lot of screws without first knowing where to look

Look from the rear, near the bottom. The belt wraps around the drum, and near the bottom is a tensioner that keeps tension on the belt. If it is broken, you'll see it laying on the floor of the dryer.
