Motor seemed to get hot while vacuuming
While vacuuming i noticed there seemed to be a lack of power/suction. (having 3 dogs i usually do one room at at time and then empty the canister) there was hair around the separator and hosing area. when i went to remove it for cleaning the separator was very loose/after cleaning and allowing motor to cool down i tried to restart and it just hummed

There probably is a locked up bearing. It is not a good idea to try to keep trying to run the unit. It will only cause further damage.
