Mouse stops functioning, but continues to light up
The mouse cursor will stop moving on my screen, and none of the buttons will work. However, the scroll wheel and razor symbol in the middle of the mouse still light up, indicating that the mouse is working. I have to remove the mouse from the USB port and plug it back in to give it life again. This is the Razer Deathadder.

The Death Adder page - death adder dot com - has updates and firm wear upgrades to download to you pc - run the update or upgrade and try the mouse then.
My Death Adder started double clicking when it wasn't supposed to and the Death Adder fix - didn't fix it so best of luck with it. Death Adder isn't well known for their support.
Have yoy try different USB port? also open bios and find "USB support" and enable for mouse anf for keyboard if any. Also some viruses do this. When light is on in your mouse it dont meens everything is all right, mouse has 4 wire and only 2 is needed to be light up if other wires is damaged when you move your mouse it lost contact and for this reason you have to reconect to become still functional. Better way to change mouse, you can also repair dissassamble and shorten wire lenth it will be damaged where mouse and wire connects each other.
