music is being transferred from the LP.Hard to explain, but its when the LP has sound coming out of each speaker independent of one another, only one side is coming out on the recorded version. it's very frustrating when you know what your supposed to be hearing and it just isn't there. I have a Ion profile pro usb recorder. Have you heard of anyone else with the same complaint?
I know this is an old post, an I dont' have a solution yet, but t seems the same problem as on my Ion USB recorder - One of the input channels is not working. Like you, I found one of my music tracks not plying right - there was only the instrumental and no vocal. When I experimented, and changed round the jacks on the cable coming from the turntable (red and white plugs), I then got only vocals and no instrumental. Obviously one of the input sockets on the USB recorder is no longer working (I already checked the turntable and cable itself by playing back he same track with both stereo channels through my amplifier). You can either get the item replaced if its still under guarantee, or fix it yourself, if you have the necessary skills, neither of which apply to me.

Have you checked the ion site for an updated driver?
