Hello K4, hi you can manually get the disk out, but you need to remove the cover. As for the power thing, you have a power supply problem, would you like to service it yourself or call a technician, If you will service it yourself, this are the things you should check:
fuse
open wirings
shorted or over heating rectifier diodes and voltage regulator
bulging filter capacitors
Switching regulator IC, check for the output pulse using a scope.
It the disc stuck in the dvd player is import disc,not just throw it away with the dvd player.Dvd players are very cheap these day not worth fixing,u can buy a new one about $40 dollars.If the dvd disc is important take dvd player aparts and take out the dvd disc and throw it away.
Sorry ment important disc,while the dvd player is aparts,might just check the power breaker fuse near the A/C plug.Who know might be that simple just require a new 2 Amp fuse.
