My 1984 dodge 150 truck is leaking coolant, and a fairly quick rate. Id like to know where are some of the more common places that this coudl be coming from, also, the coolant gauge doesnt work, so that could hint to a more spefic place?
Check your hoses, the clamps where the hoses attach, thermostat housing and the core of your radiator. these are the most common places. more serious problems could be the heater core or a head gasket. the most serious problem would be from a freeze out plug located on the side of the engine below the exaust manifold. there could be several reasons your guage doesnt work but first i would try to located the leak.
