My 1988 mighty max horn won't stop blowing. I took off the rubber cap on the steering wheel , removed the three screws holding the brass plate and plastic cup on. It seems that the problem is the screws, when in, make a connection with the brass plate , which is warped and the foam on the back is disintegrated. I am no car person, and I can't figure out what part to buy. I assumed I can replace it myself
Check the horn relay first. It's usually in the fusebox under the hood, so if you just want to try popping the relay cubes loose while the horn is blowing, that's one way to find it. Horn keeps blowing, put the relay cube back and try another one. When the horn stops, that's probably it.
