My 1991 XJS V12 has been sitting for 9 months low fuel, added fuel and tried starting, it turns over fine but does not fire, is there a way to check the fuel pump or if gas is getting to the engine?

First check for a spark thats more than likely ok. the most poss cause is the fuel pump. on the the fuel rail there is a pressure test point like a tire valve. connect a pressure test gauge and crank the engine you should get about 28 -36 psi if not the pump is more than likely stuck, try giving the fuel tank bang with your fist with someone cranking the engine remove spare wheel and trim board for access most likely the moisture in the remaining fuel has corroded the pump, good luck
