My 1996 Cadillac fleetwood brougham raidiator started lacking so I changed it and now it won't stop over heating I also changed the thermostat now it wasn't over heating befor I changed theses things
If this is a Northstar engine and it got really hot, they are bad about head gaskets leaking, and often the head bolts pull the threads out of the block. Check for exhaust gases in the radiator. If so, it can be fixed, but requires drilling out the engine block threads and tapping and installing nutserts.
Thank goodness. Could still be head gasket, but not as likely. Might be some rust or other material got loose and is stuck in water pump. Not really familiar with these engines, but seems there is a steam hole hose to the radiator and I think I've heard they may be hard to get all the air out of the system.Thank goodness.
