My 1996 toyota avalon tail lights won't work. The fuse keeps burning out everytime I put it in. It can last 1 second or 1 hour. My friends have checked the circuits and say that somewhere from the battery to the tail lights, the current is not grounded (or something?). Please help. I can't drive at night. The bulbs are all brand new, I keep having to buy new fuses but they never last

Maybe try to run new wiring or check for worn insulation in wiring from front of vehicle to tail lights. Maybe try to take it to an 'auto electric' shop for this service, where they can check the wiring for shorts to ground. This can be expensive, but sometimes it's best left to the experts to avoid costly mistakes.
