My 1Tb (2x500G) Monster Mobile is on the outs
My 1Tb (2x500G) is on the outs. Can I quickly tell if it's a problem with the enclosure or one of the drives?
Symptom is that the drive disappears when copying many files at once. then reconnects as if I just plugged the USB cable back in.

Check your USB data cable , components that flicker on and off
that are USB powered have a constant error about them , like
the 1/8 jack on most music players break in the first few months
of their lives the USB is not far away from becoming a worthless
connector , they wear out inside , the cable ends wear out very
quickly , when you buy a device that has USBs on them when
they are new they are tight and work well then they tend to
loosen up then they start to flicker in operations , try another
cable , then USB port then check your units USB
