My 2002 axiom has been running rough and will sometimes die at a stop light. The obd code is p0300 multiple mis fires. is there something else that may be causing the problem?

Does the transmission fluctuate a lot when you are idling? Mine did and I had to get my transmission rebuilt at about 80K miles.
Change plugs and wires if not done recently
