My 2002 Lincoln Navigator won't start I changed the solenoid I change the starter and the battery it sounds like the motor is locked because it just makes a ticking noise when I try to turn it on sounds like the flywheel is not being engaged by the starter
First make sure the engine isn't locked by putting a socket on the front pulley bolt and turn if it moves keep turning a bit more then try to start and if it starts the flywheel teeth may be bashed in and will need to be replaced unless you can file the teeth clean. The engine usually only stops in 3 places so check all the way around. There could also be a problem with the battery cables so clean and check them both ends. I hope this helps. Take care.
