My 2004 Nissan Frontier will not stop squealing!! I am positive it's the power steering belt and I cannot seem to make it stop. Tension is good, bearings in both the power steering and tensioner pulley are good, the belt is new, belt dressing is not working, I am not leaking oil or water. WTF?!?!? Never had this issue before, it's just a dam belt!
How many belts are on your engine? And never, never use belt dressing or any spray on a rubber belt! If you have more than 1 serp belt that drives every thing, remove the power steering belt to verify its that belt.Take a wire brush and clean the grooves on the pulleys and get that belt dressing of too, install new belt and noise will be gone.
I have the same problem...have had it into Nissan 16 times...my truck is still there today....they are clueless, so I hope someone out there has the answer....Nissan sure does not....they have tried everything...all parts on the front of the engine has been replaced and I have had 5 sets of belts on this truck...it only has 55K miles on it, I bought it brand new...HELP!!
