My 2006 12" L7 kicker sub isn't working like it should. It simply sounds like an extra speaker and produces minimal bass. All the wires are correct, I have checked and rewired it several times just to make sure. I hooked up my kicker zx750.1 amp to one of my brother's pyle subs and it works great so something must be wrong with the sub. Or am I overlooking something here?

On the amp there should be High pass and a low pass setting. Put it on low pass cause if its on high pass or in between it produces normal noted like a speaker. Low pass will filter out all the high frequencies.
Nope, the 750.1 is a monoblock with class D technology. That means that the amp does not have a selectable high-pass or low-pass filter like that. It is designed for one purpose, and that is to run a subwoofer.
