My 2006 Dodge Ram 1500 has electric door locks. I bought it used and just had one key. How can I tell if it has keyless remote entry or what do I have to do to add it

In order to determine if you have a factory installed remote keyless entry (RKE) system, you need to remove the instrument panel and check if the RKE module has been installed. It is located practically in the center of the back of the instrument panel. It may be more economical to have an aftermarket system installed that to get two factory replacement remotes. The doorlock system utilizes a single wire setup. You will need to use resistors and two relays to interface the doorlocks. The resistor values you need are 820 ohms to ground through a relay for lock and 330 ohms to ground through the other relay for unlock.
