I had the same problem. The cause (at least on my box) was a bad charcoal canister and the valve going to it. These go bad on the boxes fairly often. If you "top off" your tank, the overflow spills down into the charcoal canister and it will not function properly. IE: Engine, Trac, and VSC lights come on. It doesnt hurt it to drive with a bad canister, but you will lose mileage and that light will be staring you in the face every time you drive. The parts are pricey, dealer only parts and the canister is about $400. I found a totalled xb with a good canister and nabbed it for $40.....solved my problem. Hope this helps!
This is a fairly common problem, and quite often it is due to the gas cap not adequately sealing. Sometimes simpy tightening will help, but applying some grease to the rubber seal on the cap will frequently resolve it for good. You can use just about any grease...vaseline or even chapstick in a pinch. It might take a few start and run cycles for the lights to go out. I would try this inexpensive fix first.
