You probably have a plugged orifice. The gas is injected into the burner via a small orifice and, when this plugs, the air / fuel mix is altered, causing the orange flame. Find your owners manual to find out how to replace the orifice or you could take it to a small engine repair facility locally who should be able to fix your problem.
