My 42lh30 lg tv was on the kids where watching movie on xbox then the tv and xbox just turned off. and will not come back on. the xbox is working. but there is no red light saying the tv is getting power. have tried different plugs and letting it sit to see if it was to hot sill no luck? Help

Possibly you've had a power cut & a fuse associated with the TV has blown. Have you checked the fuse in the TV plug? If that's ok then probably a fuse internally in the TV has blown or something more serious has blown in the power supply
