My 66 mustang lopes up and down, I have to crank
My 66 mustang lopes up and down, I have to crank down a high idle to keep it from stalling . I disassembled the carburetor, it did not require much cleaning at all. A simple basic heat choke, vac secondary's Holley 4150. Replaced all the gaskets quite correctly and now I wonder if my idle is related to my work or the choke, floats levels etc needs adjustments. Some one told me adjust the timing but I think that will not help. Any ideas friends? https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZIaYBUPo-vQ

High idle can be associated from a vacuum leak in the system- brake booster hose loose---vent hose cracked /broken or not connected. Check for broken gasket from manifold to carby. Check that the vacuum hose for the distributor is connected and not cracked
