My 87 plymouth sundance has a brand new battery and been through 2 new alternators. intalled the new alternators ,battery had to be jujmped off but then battery charged fine, a few months later decided to get insurance on it and start driving it, power loss light came on, battery wouldnt charge up but stayed at a very low charge drove it about 30-35 miles total that day and tried to crank it back up and it wouldnt. , still had power in the battery, Whats my problem, if it's not my alternator then what is it?
The power loss light goes on as a result of the alternator being bad. Are you getting 'lifetime' guaranteed rebuilt alternators to replace the old ones? If not, then the quality of the parts may not be good enough to run in your application.
