My after market cd player isn't getting any power
Power is going to the batter connection, but not to the ignition switch.when i hook it up it want turn off when the car is cut off

Are you hooking the aftermarket player direct to the battery? Basically you should have it connected to the factory harness which is configured to do what you would like. It cuts the power when the ignition is off.
