Hello, I had the same problem with my unit. You will need the manual and you have to locate the valet button, luckily the install shop showed me where it was, (My daughter was not as fotunate,I had to find it) If you cannot locate the valet button try to inquire where it was installed and they may be able to point you in the right direction. What you will need is the manual so that you can program the alarm and find out how many chirps are for what, and the ignition key. Its not complicated, but it can be a pain.
You may be able to download the manual. I found it here http://www.viper.com/Support/ just click on the Guides tab, I guess they don't call them manuals, then scroll down to your model number and just print the pages you need.....
