My all pro heater will only keep burninig if I push and hold the red fuel button in,so I rigged it in a way that the red button stays pushed in.my question is : can this be dangerous,please no PC answers like only operate by manufactureres directions.I would like a real answer.Thanks

The fuel button allows the heater to burn long enough to warm up the thermocouple. If the thermocouple doesn't sense a flame it shuts the gas valve to keep gas from building up to potentially explosive levels it the heater should go out for some reason. Do yourself a favor and replace your faulty thermocouple. It's cheaper than a new house or building.
