My amcor gps won't charge using a usb cord in my computer
I tried plugging my amcor 3900 into my computer using a usb cord. it will not charge. I can't always sit in the car. also, how do I get it to show the destination map ( the route from start to end?)

This unit is not desighned to be charged from usb(it is only a data port)
You can get from radio shack or best buy
(you can use a power supplie for psp)it is a perfect match
What I did for mine was to go down to RadioShack (I was desperate) and buy an AC/DC converter that you can plug in the wall and then plug your car charger into. Works like a charm. Not very expensive either (under $10 if I remember) and worth the investment. The unit won't charge from the USB. It's not designed to do that.
To get the destination map to show on the screen, click below the route flag in the little grey area, then click "fit to screen." Hopefully this helps. I will check my unit to be double sure a little later and post any updates as necessary.
It may be the battery is totally depleted and this will take a few hours to recover sufficient charge to get it operating or even to turn on..
The answer to you other question is not known by me but I will hazzard a guess and say select the demo mode after the address is entered. that is what most other GPS models do to see the trace of the route.
