My ampex (ax517ht) just blew its command system and display. This means no signal can be processed or rather, no command. Now i only tapped the amp in a raw manner

Possible there are DRY SOLDER JOINTS within the main board and so when the set heats up there is a connection loss which makes the set switch off. Remove panel and try to work the set while cooling with a fan , touch to see if any section like power-amps gets hot. If so observe with a magnifier and solder. Check the external antennae connection to the system, if this seems ok then the RF end/ signal processor is faulty which might need a trace with technical help.
