My archos 704 wifi was working fine. I plugged it to the charger to recharge the battery on a friday afternoon. On sunday I came to use the device but had absolutely no power. it will not turn on, no green light is visible when charging. It is dead. I tried the reset button, but nothing. Help Please!!!

Hi, How long did you plug the charger to the my archos 704 wifi ?might have been over charged and has killed the battery cell.
Does it use a AC adapter?,is yes try and test it without using the battery and see if it will come on. If it comes up ,that means the battery cell is dead and battery will need to be replaced. But if it did not come on, That mean it is a power fault that will need a technician assistance.

I plugged it in for 2 days. never thought that would be a problem. However, I did what you said and removed the battery and plugging in the adapter, but still no power. Are there other options besides sending it to Archos??
Hello, ones the charger did not come on, that means we will be looking at
1.Getting out another battery to see if it will come up.
2.if it did not come on after using another battery to test,that means is beyond DIY repairs, will need technical assistance to check the board.(board problem).
