My arm won't lower onto record, the arm lowewring mechinism won't lower
Also when the stop button is used the turn table has to be wound backwards in order for the turntable to turn clockwise again otherwise the motor keeps spinning and will burn the drive belt out

After my THIRD Ion turntable had the arm-lowering problem...
I rotated the platter counterclockwise about 12 times and it worked...for now. I'll keep my fingers crossed and hope it wasn't a fluke.
