My Astra 1.9CDTI SRI went into limp mode about a week ago & we've tried various things & still can't work out what the problem is?
2008 model went into limp mode for almost a week now, we did a scan and code PP2279 intake air system showed and a pedal test shows ECN003004, spanner light and engine management light are on. Cleaned EGR valve which is fairly new, and done a fuel filter change, can you advise on what other routes to go down please?

You need to have this diagnosed with a full function scan tool to see what is going on in real time. A factory repair manual is also a must, hit and miss attempts and wasted money and time will not get the vehicle fixed. I would also suggest a new bicycle if this continues.
Save yourself a big headache and have a dealer service center repair this, electronic engine control takes years of training to master and understand how everything works and why things like this happen. I know this because I was a factory certified electronic engine control technician for Ford (and others) for 20 years.
