My battery light came on in my 2007 tundra I had the battery checked its OK. We pulled off the negative.terminal. while it was running to check the altinator and it never loss power so we know its charging properly. How do I reset the indicator light
You cant. That light comes one when the revers polarity diode goes bad inside the alternator. It may still run when the battery is removed. You either need to have your alternator rebuilt, or replaced. Also, running the car without a battery is not a good way to test your alternator. You can even end up damaging your ECM by doing this. Nest time use a multimeter and see how many volts the alternator is putting out a 2000 RPM. Anything less then 13V it is not charging properly and needs to be diagnosed.
