My Belkin G router ver.8002uk is running successfully on my Vista System Computer. When I used the Belkin set up disc it recommended a change of router name from the default. This I did. However, when I start up and connect to the Belkin, the default name is displayed on my desktop, not the name I changed it to. Reason?

The name which you have changed is the wireless name or SSID. But your desktop shows the routers Hostname because it is a Hard wired computer
