One or more of your keys may be slightly pushed in causing the phone to blink and the other keys not function properly.
Turn off your phone, remove battery and clean your phone keys with a qtip or a soft wipe. Be sure to not soak where solution is dripping, that will cause further damage to your phone. you want to dampen the qtip or soft wipe and gently clean the keys. As you are cleaning the keys you may notice by touch (not visually) one or more keys may be pushed in. Genlty rub the part of the key pushed until it releases.
Continue to clean all the keys and the outer part of the phone itself. Replace the battery, turn on phone. Hopefully this resolves the problem.
