My Bowflex Treadclimber keeps coming up with an Error L5. This error message shows up 5 seconds after turning the machine on. My husband looked it up yesterday and said that the machine needs to be recalibrated. How do I do this? He also said that the motor might be wearing out?

L5 due to the screen is actually LS (lost signal) the first place to check is the gap of the speed sensor. under left treadle 2 black wires. Removing the rear covers will allow you to see the lwr cntrl board and move the belt by hand. The gren led light should flash once per revolution of the drive pulley. If not then it is the speed sensor. Adjust sensor to pully about thickness of a credit card. then calibrate unit. LS is also tripped by any broken wires or bad connections. Start at sensor and board first.
