My camera stopped working after downloading pictures
I was downloading images from camera to computer. I was called away and left the camera connected to the computer; someone else used the computer. I came back later and disconnected the camera from the computer and now it is totally unresponsive, even with new batteries. Can my camera be revived?

I don't believe the usb cable had anything to do with it. That cable doesn't provide any power. Its a data line. If it did it would charge your battery for you at the same time.
Do you have a power cord for your camera for charging batteries with?
