My compressor will not switch back on after I replaced defrost heater, defrost thermostat and thermistor
It was running fine until one day it just started defrosting. no build up of ice on coils. Let it sit for long time for Days because I had another old frig to use. I turned it back on and put a glass of water on shelf to see if it would freeze. Compressor turned on froze everything even the ice maker worked. But after 2 days it started defrosting again. I did this 3 different times . Did the same thing over and over. Compressor always came on. Was told to replace defrost heater, defrost thermostat and heat sensor. The defrost heater was burned out. I Unplugged the frig and replaced them. Plugged the frig back in and turned it on. Fan turned on and I waited for compressor to work and gave in 2 hours no frost and did this 3 different times. Would unplugging the frig for the first and replacing the parts do something to change things on other parts, so the compressor would not come on ?? Hope someone has a answer for me.

A proper diagnosis must be performed on this unit to determine the sequence of operation. So far, you have verified that it doesn't operate correctly. Parts have been changed, so it is now impossible to troubleshoot the unit from an armchair. Time to either grab some test equipment and a manual and start diagnosing or to call in a tech who can figure out what went wrong.
