My compressor work for about 8 minutes or so then shuts off. The green light blinks for about 25-30 minutes and then the compressor starts up again. What is the problem?

Because of the long length of time it stays off, my guess is the thermal over load is taking it out. When the compressor goes off, try to touch the top of it. If it is real hot, its probably that. There are several directions to move in from determining that is it. Let me know and we will move forward from your answer. Thank you for using FixYa. Roger
