Go to address and click drop down list box ...which is present in right side cornor of address bar...it look like inverted triangle...click tat...u ll get a list..from tat u select d drive ...it ll get open
I'm having the same issue! It will open and close and light will blink for only a moment then go off. Then, just as you, it will not read as if I have a disc in when I click on my computer. If I click on the cdrom drive, it says PLEASE INSERT A DISC. I'll be checking back to see if anyone knows how to fix. :)

If D drive is in list on My Computer then drive is faulty. If its not there in My Computer, perform BIOS setup and recognize/enable drive there.
