My computer freezes in windows XP with 9600GSO
My computer freezes up in windows XP. Generally when i run video/flash etc but even when Im not doing anything after sometime.
The only option for me is to restart the system.
I have a motherboard which is K8V-VM Ultra, it has a PCI-E 1.0 16x. As i use the PNY 9600GSO 768MB DDR3 card which has PCI-E 2.0 interface. Will some kind of compatibility between the two be the issue.
I've upgraded my SMPS in order to use the card with it, as that was the suspect. Also is there any version of the NVidia driver that I should use with the card. I downloaded the latest one from NVidia site and thats the one giving the issues.
Please let me know if you have seen similar problems before and if so what could be the solution for the same.
All installations were done on a fresh install of XP.
