My computer just beeps when it comes on. It is a repeating short beep. How do I fix it. It was working fine, then lines went vertically on my screen and so I shut it down... when I started it again it just beeps now with no picture or anything

Try removing and reintalling RAM cards it works for me but didnt know for how long because is not the first time it happens to me.
