Make sure that Sim City is allowed through your firewall. If it is not n the list already, then add new listing and make sure the check box has a check in it.
Also double check which file you put it in. Change files locations if necessary.
I have a quick guess... since you havent stated it.... Your previous PC was Windows XP or earlier... and your new one is Vista?? If that is the case - your Software will not work with vista. XP and previous operating systems run 32 bit programs. Vista is 64 bit.
Hi. Go to the control panel and click on remove programs. Then remove the entire Sim City contents. Now reinsert the disc and reload the program being sure that no other programs are operating at the same time.
THis should do it for you but if it doesn't, return the program as it is faulty.
