My defrost timer was replaced by a brand new one, two days ago -- the defrost light turns on for 1 minute, another few moments after, the green light turns back on again.. my temp wont go down and I am not low on charge

Sounds like a bad defrost terminator or timer wired wrong. won't make temp as the evap is not clear of ice/frost build up. check your wiring diagram for location and operation of terminator.
