My Dell Inspiron 2650 screen goes black after start up. It is still working, its just a black screen. I can close the lid, re-open it, and it will stay on for about 5 seconds. Whats the problem, and how can I fix it?
This problem is caused by a bad inverter. You can find one on Ebay for a decent price. That's where I get most of mine from $8 to $20. Your inverter is located on the bottom front area of your LCD just under the plastic, and it is very easy to replace.
