My device is unrecognized by windows vista it keeps saying I need to update the driver but this I know is built into the unit is there a fix for this?
I went through all the troubleshooting step I could find. The device does power on, and when it turns on your can hear the hard drive spinning so it is working. I checked the usb ports to ensure it was not a port malfunction the port works with another device. I searched the web to find the missing driver and have found nothing. When I go to update driver in the pop up and search the internet it comes back as best driver unknown device.

Hi,
Try uninstalling the Generic USB Hub and USB root HUB drivers listed in your computer.
Restart the computer and then try connecting the HDD once more.
