1. Make sure that your car receptacle has +12VDC. Try another device to confirm. 2. Make sure that the car charger is working properly. Most have a fuse in the tip. It could be blown. It may not be converting +12VDC to +5VDC which is required to power the GPS. Try another charger with the GPS. 3. Common problem with the 25xx series are loose/broken USB charger ports. This will prevent the unit from powering up with an external power source and will prevent the battery from being charged. Eventually the battery will lose its charge and since the USB charging port is loose, the battery will not charge and the unit will appear dead. More info here:
