Yikes, sounds like the unit has worn itself out. There is no easy fix for this. It is repairable but really it is going to cost as much as a new one to repair it, and won't work as well.
Actually after doing some more research here you are correct, the repair is going to be less than buying a new one, I was thinking of another make of these diagnostic devices. Those Dolphins are spendy, but worth the money for sure. The repair is only going to be around $150 to get it back to running properly. I'm so sorry for the confusion the first time around there. Any local pool place that deals with Dolphins will be able to repair it or have it repaired for you.
