My dome light stays on when the switch is flipped over to go on with the doors. No matter what I do I have to turn the switch to manual on off to get it off. I have read this is linked to sensors in the latch assembly but I can not find them or seem to understand where they are located. Can you please tell me if this is the problem and if so how can I get to the sensors to clean them?

The sensors are part of the door latch mechanism. try a light mineral oil (like wd-40) to help lubricate these items. if the switch is just damaged and will not open the circuit then the latch may have to be replaced inside the door. if the door has been slammed, this could cause it.
its the door latch itself is the part you see when you open the door. just spray the heck out of it. yes i believe there is one in the trunk latch. the door latch resembles the trunk latch just a little more tucked in.its the door latch itself is the part you see when you open the door. just spray the heck out of it. yes i believe there is one in the trunk latch. the door latch resembles the trunk latch just a little more tucked in.
