My DP-01FX will only record on 2 trax for each song, and that is with only one Assign. It won't use the other Assign at all,so what is the point of having 8 trax? and what am I doing wrong. This surely defeats the claim that it will be able to record at least 8 instruments, I would really like it to record at least 4 with added vocals but am I being too ambitios or am I just plain "Thick". Ple ase help me

Yes Guys, dementia and modern technology don't mix! Never take up computer orientated things when your over the driving age. Slept on it, and Yes! after recording every 2 trax, "You SAVE them!!" and that frees the Assign for another 2 trax, "SIMPLE?" Well any 6 year old could have pointed out that, but nowhere in the manual does it tell aging music buffs like me to do this. However there must be a glimmer of mental ability left that I could still work it out. So all aging Tascam portastudio users, remember, go into "Menu" and "SAVE" after each 2 trax that you record on.
