If you bought an aftermarket cable some of them allow more or less current through it and it will not recognize it to charge. Make sure that the cable is an OEM cable with a unique angle on the end to it. If you are still experiencing the problem make sure to restart your computer and plug it in to a different slow, sometimes the drivers are not downloaded properly, and will only download if you are on the internet. Then when you are done make sure to right-click the icon on the bottom right to safely remove the device.
