My dvd recorder is constantly saying setup
Hi, The dvd recorder wont even turn on i have pressed every button, power, eject, setup etc. When i have turned it of at the wall and then back on i am still getting the same message "setup".
I have cheked all the leads and they are were they are supposed to be.
It was working fine last week i turned it of over night and the next day i got the "setup" message.

Thus it has power and no need to check the fuse you have a code problem and need to find out what it means try firing it up with no leads connected if no go email me

sorry paul i have not been on for a few days . do you know how to take the top off if so ill tell you the way to clean the lazer like a pro thats all you can do. the problem with disc cleaners are that unless used every week residue builds up that can only be removed by apllying the correct solution to remove it
sorry paul as you can see i mixed your repair up with some one else
ok you will have to remove the units memory back up there are two types capacitor and battery take the top of the player and look for a watch type battery and tell me if it has one
