My Dymo prints about 90% of label and just before end it stops for 2-3 secs then continues to finish print run. During the delay visitors think the label is finished and start to tear it away and as they do the label finishes printing causing jams as the printer trys to print while they are pulling on label
Open printer properties, go to the Advanced tab and make sure "Start printing after last page is spooled" is enabled. Restart your computer to make sure it takes effect.
Go to Dymo's website and make sure that you have the latest version of their driver software.
Call Dymo for support.
It is possible that this may be a hardware limitation and you cannot fix it.
So my final solution would be to place a note on the printer that says, "Please wait for entire label to print".
I am a Microsoft engineer and I cannot see how any Active Directory policies would cause this problem. A policy could regulate the use of the printer or automatically install/remove it but to have it interrupt while printing is just not an option.
I have a client with 3-Dymos and they don't have this problem. However, they only use it to make B/W text labels for file boxes. No color or images are being printed.
Try printing a label with one word in small font on it and see if it prints it without pausing. This will tell you if the size of the file has an impact on print performance.I am a Microsoft engineer and I cannot see how any Active Directory policies would cause this problem. The delay likely is normal. The software is probably rasterizing the last portion. Most printing is done from a spooler which is a disk file that temprarily stores the information to print so that the program doesn't have to wait for the printer to get done printing before allowing the program to continue to be used. You might consider putting a shield so the "visitors" can't grab the label till it is almost all the way out.
